          The 2ACR set a defensive screen along the 43 north-SOLtth grid line for than
      night. The Battalion received survivability missions and organized three
      teams to support each squadron. lLT Roumell's platoon with a dozer and ILT
      Klem's platoon, with three dozers and three ACE from the 84th Engineer
      Company, were sent to lin@@ up with C Company. On 260200 Feb, K and M Troops
      came under attack by the 50th Armored Brigade, l@-th Armored Division (IZ).
      The dozers were pulled back, but C Company's lst squad, 3rd platoon remained
      on the screen line guarding EPW. Contact lasted until morning. At 087(i, C31
      (Mll7NA2) was reported destroyed during the battle.

          A Company was ordered forward to mark a minefield at PT 686028. The
      minefield was covered by direct and indirect fire weapons and A Company came
      under fire from mortars and small arms. The Company returned fire and moved
      through the ambush by breaching the minefield. With the assistance of a tan@,.
      section, the enemy was destroyed. During this engagement, SFC Yoho, SSG
      Kilpatrick, SSG Stockton, and SPC Digena distinguished themselves under +ire.

          At 1215 that same day, B Company collected 77 more            om the 50th Armor
      Brigade, 12th Armored Division. The EPW included thirteen officers (three
      Majors, two Captains and eight Lieutenants). One
                                       interrogation by the 502nd MI Company revealed
      valuable information. The 77 soldiers were loaded on two 20 ton trucks and
      transported to the RSS by the B Company EPW team.      5 USC 552(b)(7)(D)
          Throughout the day of the 26th, the squadrons, primarily 3/2 ACR, were in
      constant contact with the TAWALKANA Republican Guard Division. C Company's
      platoons defended in their respective sectors. That evening, D Company again
      moved dozers forward to construct survivability positions for the squadrons.
      Also that evening, the Regiment prepared and conducted a passage of lines +or
      the two follow-on divisions, IAD and 3AD. A and C Companies were initially
      given missions to support this operation but were not used.

          At first light on the 27th, the Battalion moved out with the Regiment,
      which is now serving as VII Corps reserve, to positions along the 85 east-West
      grid line. A Company's 2nd platoon, led by 2LT Bohon, along with an attached
      smot,e platoon from the 171st Chemical Company, collected '-5 more EPW. C
      Company refitted and reorganized after their move. The Battalion(-) set at @7
      664001, near a shelled out brigade or higher command post of the TALAWKANA. E,
      Company collected two EPL@,L from this division.

          On @4E3 Feb, after the cease -Fire was ordered by the President at 91800
      local, A Company and C Company identified and destroyed enemy vehicles in
      their sectors. 2LT Adams supervised the destruction of a radar station, a
      power station, antiaircraft guns, and other equipment. The rest of the
      Battalion remained set and prepared for movement into Kuwait. A Company's Ist
      and 2nd platoons captured seven and thirteen EPW respectively.

           On 1 Mar, the 82nd Engineer Battalion followed the 2A@@R into @,uwait (TAA
      Mexico). D Company collected one EPW along the way and he was brought along
      for future processing. A Company and C Company entered Kuwait at about (@)900.
      The Battalion(--) set at OT 326374, where the companies established base camps
      and prepared +or future demolition missions to clear the @4ACRrector.
