           COL Byrd that it could be done on our larger HETS. Army HETs
           are too small.

           11 November - Veterans' Day. The 72nd anniversary of the
           armistice of the war to end all wars; the First World War,
           was marked around the world. Those who serve remembered
           those who have served.

           12 November - Bn SI, ILT Bush, directed to plan for the
           reception of up to seven hundred (700) military drivers to
           drive commercial assets in the event of hostilities.
           SFC Grant conducts recon to ASP Al Kharj. Security at Lorry
           Park is a concern. Bn S3 directed to come up with a plan to
           improve security.

           13 November - 355th CSD, 385th TD, and 390th CSD assigned to
           702nd Trans Bn under authority of Permanent Orders 317-001,
           7th Trans Group.

           14 November - Routine convoys. Battalion mileage during the
           period 15 October through 14 November totals 1,263,136 miles
           or approximately 42,000 miles per day.

           15 November - SFC Lee and SGT Vaz conduct recon to ASP
           Heiser. Still moving ammunition for USAF to Al Kharj.

           16 November - News of the deployment of VII Corps from
           Germany raises spirits. This is not Reforger.

           17 November - Weather cool. No moon.

           IS November - Convoy operations continue.

           19 November - Since the first contract for commercial cargo
           vehicles was let on 27 August approximately 2 million road
           miles have been traveled. Commercial trucks logged over 60
