            1 May - Routine operations. D Company returns from Jubayl.
           Bn strength: 242 soldiers. Assets available: 787 flatbed
           trucks.

            2 May - Recovery of disabled vehicles continues in Kuwait
           and Iraq.

            3 May - Smoke from oil well fires in Kuwait is blown away by
           a sand storm. Wind blows strongly out of the north.

            4 May - More missing trucks are discovered in the Dammam
           area. Units using them are abandoning commercial trucks
           prior to redeployment in the port area.

            5 May - Group request confirmation of names of personnel
           being redeployed. Routine operations continue.

            6 May - Cmd and staff mtg.

            7 May - Convoy departs for Qutar to turn in excess flatbed
           trucks.

            8 May - Routine operations.

            9 May - CPT Mcinhold departs for Germany. CW2 Harville
           appointed as S3. Convoy arrives at Qutar border.

           10 May - Routine operations.

           11 May - Second redeployment serial of 55 soldiers departs.
           Strength of the battalion is now 201 solders. A unit ships 4
           truck loads of cement barriers to the port. No disposition
           instructions.

           12 May - Routine operations.

           13 May - Cmd and staff mtg.

           14 May - Routine operations. Dark of the moon.

           15 May - Bn strength: 115 soldiers. Assets available: 870
           flatbed trucks.

           16 May - Routine operations.

           17 May - Routine operations.

           18 May - Considerable captured enemy equipment is being
           shipped through the port.

           19 May - Third redeployment serial of 77 soldiers departs.
           Strength of the battalion is now 124 solders. Bn Cdr
           presents decorations to the redeploying troops including
