          MEMORANDUM TO MSC AND SEPARATE BATTALION COMMANDERS


          SUBJECT: Obstacle Breaching Demonstration - CHANGE #1


          1. PURPOSE: The purpose of this memorandum is to provide revised information
          concerning 24th ID(M)'s obstacle breaching demonstration. Changes to the initial
          information memo dated 26 December are in bold itaric typeset.


          2. GENERAL:


            Date: Thursday, lOJanuary 1991
            Time: 1000-1 200
            Place: 197th Bde Area (TK953912)
            Participating Units: 1-18th Infantry and 72nd Engineer Company
            Uniform/Equipment: Keviar Helmet, LCE, Protective Mask, Body Armor (will be
                                  within 1000m danger zone of MICLIC), Binoculars
                                  (optional)
            Tactical Scenario: Task Force attack on enemy reinforced company in the
                                  defense


          3. Purpose of the exercise is to demonstrate various means by which enemy
          obstacles may be breached. Afl maneuver brigade, battalion, and company
          commanders are strongly encouraged to attend. Atiendance is mandatory for all
          engineer company commanders.


          4. Revised schematic of the exercise site (including the obstacle breaching
          methods to be demonstrated) is attached.
