           The ASO will coordinate with each agency periodically to ensure
           they are familiar with their responsibilities.

           12. Post Mishap Procedures.

               a. Any aircraft which has made a forced/precautionary
           landing will not be flown until released for flight by the
           commander or his designated representative.


               b. The ASO will be contacted after all forced landings,
           precautionary landings, aborted takeoffs (intent to fly must
           exist; begins when the starter button is engaged). PPAM data
           will be obtained by the ASO for submission to the USASC, ATTN:
           SFC Johnson, via FAX (autovon 558-5318).

               c. The ASO will be contacted IMMEDIATELY after an aviation
           or ground mishap involving personal injury and/or property
           damage. After life saving/fire fighting efforts are completed
           and the area has been declared safe by the fire chief, the
           detachment commander will ensure the helicopter is safeguarded
           and remains undisturbed for accident investigation purposes.

               (1) The crew is grounded pending a medical evaluation and
           post-mishap standardization evaluation, if required. The flight
           surgeon will be contacted and supervise the drawing of toxicology
           samples. If a flight surgeon is not immediately available, the
           crew will report to the nearest military medical facility and
           have toxicology samples taken. The standard protocol is 2 large
           red, purple, and grey top blood sample tubes, and 2, 50cc urine
           specimens. The detachment commander will ensure chain-of-custody
           procedures are followed.

               (2) The detachment commander will impound all documentation
           pertaining to the flight (AE 1010, logbook, PPC, weather brief-
           ing, mission briefing sheet, DD Form 365-4).

           13. Daily Reports.

                a. Daily telephonic reports will be submitted by the
           detachment commander or his representative to A Co, 7/158th Avn
           Regt by 0730 hours.
