10 Apr 91: The Battalion is preparing in earnest to prepare for
redeployment to Bamberg. The plan is for a portion of the
Battalion to convoy with all vehicles to the port at Al Jubayl, and
the remainder of the is Battalion staying at KKW.'C. 2ACR conducts a
'Dragooning Ceremony' and several Battalion members are made
            honorary members of the Regiment.

11 Apr 91: The Battalion has to decide from the large assortment of
war trophies the one major item and two weapons to take home. The
Battalion Commander and CSM decide that the MT-LB with minelayer,
one squad automatic weapon, and one AK-47 will be retained. The
limitation only applies to vehicles and weapons. MILVAN are being
unloaded, cleaned, the contents inventoried in preparation for
customs inspections. Two aircraft load pallets are also being
prepared for shipment. A mock-up of the pallets is used to
determine the amount of equipment that can be loaded. Today the
Battalion has primary usage of the wheeled vehicle wasbrack.
Another major task is the turn-in of all Class V (Ammunition). COL
Holder, Commander 2ACR, stopped by today to pass on a 'well done'
to the Battalion. He gave an update on the current situation and
inquired if the Battalion had any problems that needed his
            attention.

12 Apr 91: Effective 0200 hours, the United Nations formally
approves the permanent cease fire. Today is the 85th day since the
start of the war and 46 days after the start of the ground
offensive. It is also the 129th day since the Battalion had its
official retreat ceremony marking its arrival in the KTO. Today
POM begins for the Battalion. Staff sections are busy making
arrangements for the two deployments of the Battalion. Soldiers are
busy cleaning, packing, and preparing for redeployment.

13 Apr 91: MRLVAN are inspected by customs officials today. 7th EN
Brigade conducts an engineer conference/AAR. Battalion Officers
            conduct a Hail and Farewell.

14 Apr 91: Tracked vehicles go to wash rack. Soldiers staying at
KKMC move to 2ACR area and the Battalion breaks down old base camp.
7th Engineer Brigade has casing of Colors ceremony.

15 Apr 91: Convoys depart for the port at Al Jubyal(450 km). The
Battalion is housed with the King's Own Scottish Boarders.

16 Apr 91: 114 soldiers fly at 1130 from KKMC to the port of Al
Jubyal thus leaving 300 soldiers at KKMC. Battalion has to take all
the MRE out of the MILVANs - we believe that they will be used to
            feed refugees.
