              ISSIE@E: Mounted 1443AI Au@oinati.c Chemic@al Agent Alarm
DISCUSSi6'N': All in all. a great addition to the FOX (NBCRS). One
could run this alarm for-extended periods of'time in lieu of the mml while in
a stationary position such as a screen lirie. Batteries were never a concern
since the alarm could be run off of the engine battery. We did identify one
..problem with this system in a desert environment. The sand was sometimes
.finer in consistency than talcum powder and when mixed with rain it became an
annoying paste. Inlet. and outlet ports for the alarm would become clogged
with this substance and inhibit air flow.

-RECOMMENDATION: A proper PMCS must be performed everyday to
ensure that these inlet and tdutlet ports viere free of sand and debris. This
.would only take a few minutes and could easily be.done when alarm PMCS was
.accomplished., PMCS is the key to proper maintenance especially in a desert
  environment
