             -ISSUE:  En"ine'battery life oP. the.FOX (NBCRS)

              DISCUSSION:  The engine battery of the FOX (NBCRS) is a real
  workhorse. one  can:power the radio system, the mounted M8AI alarm system, the
    interior lights and-the driver,@s night sight for an extended period of time.
   Our experiences have found that there is an optimal amount of time that one
  can operate the above mentioned items before turning on the engine for
  recharging of the batteries. If attention is not given to making sure that
  battery power has runztoo low, the engine will not start and starting with the
  help of slave dable@'becomes necessary.
             REdOMiENDATION:, While operat-4.ng the above items on pure reserve
  battery power one needs to ensure that the engine is started at least once
  every eight hours and run for at least fil'teen minutes so that the charge can
  be reinstated. Failure to do this can result  in being left behind if an
  impromptu move takes place.
