ordering dip and premise control through local purchase if
approved. Dr. Anderson will send Facsimile transmission of
latest treatment regimens from aan 1991 "Veteyinary Clinics
           of North America."

           6. SSG Quick reported that Al Khobar Village was close to
their 91R work, had good support and would prefer to stay at
t-hat location rather than move back into M&M Compound. MAJ
Gaise-c has no problem either way as guard duty is not
overwhelming at this point. COL Trask will convey decision
to CPT Adams who is temporarily waiting in Riyadh for Air
Transport to Jeddah area to do initial inspection on EPW
           food.

           7. CPT Dole's MST has taken over Class I movement tracking.
For the first time a large amount of throughput Class I is
going to Riyadh for receipt inspection. COL Trask will
check to see if LTC Platt would allow SPC Gentile to return
from 483y-d Med Det to be with his own unit (423rd Med Lab)
in Riyadh to help with inspection. CPT Boles reported all
Class I is Priority 5 now so less will go out than projected
on Tracking Documents. Nothing coming into Host Nation
Warehouse or Sanyo for 4 or 5 days and just issued 5 days
worth of Class A Rations but will send no more since can't
store in field. Refrigerated semitrailers being diverted
           for bodies to morgues.

           S. @@W3 Brandow outlined new Theater policy on allowing E-5
and above to condemn food, sign certificates, etc. for line
items of $SOO or less as long as it is authorized by CDR.
On agreement of all VC, CDRS, NCOs present, COL Trask agreed
to authorize all EAC, E-Ss and above condemnation privileges
in a letter format for use by next week.

           9. CW3 Brandow confirmed with SSG Jackson that there is
severe premature pitting rust on 100 man 8 rations packaging
which they will follow up in writing.

           10. Results of special inspections of Lot 62, Date of Pack
7/90 MREs from field showed compliance acceptable.

           11. NCOs request resolution of Class VII worksheet in this
ODS Theater from CW3 Brandow who will take back to COL Alm
For resolution. LTC Lively suggested only condemnation food
           ')e
@ Counted as Class VII. In the Operation Desert Storm
(ODS) Theater, most GSU warehouses also issue to end users
often up to 50% of distribution, and many DSU warehouses are
receiving and shipping GSU level Fresh Fruit and Vegetables,
and A rations which severely confuses inspectors as to which
poundage to report for which Class for which function.

           12. 248th reported that some food service personnel in the
Pulaski area believed there was a problem with MREs of Lot
118 produced by Mullins, but special inspection revealed
normal lot so rumor being quashed.

           13. 248th indicated 18th Quartermaster would be moving
forward in 8-10 days and CPT Martinez was not sure much
inspection work will be left after they move. He will
           coordinate with MAJ Gaiser.
