told him the symptoms of the tank. In the time span the driver reset the
tank and started it. The tank acted normal andchecked the
transmission area. We thought it was normal so we decided to try and
catch up to the task force. We tried for about fifteen (15) minutes
later. I called the company commander and told him we were operational.
He told me to stand fast with the TOO. He came back to us. We then
waited whilehecked systems in the drivers hatch and back

gain forward again. We called He did —20 cA2cks to
include the "breakout ". We waited approximately four ~ours and
let the tank cool down. At approximately 1500 we SP'd to come back here

He said, "No don't shut down because with the engine running more cool
air get into the engine." 'Under his guidance we poured approximately one
         (1) case of bottled water in the transmission coiling fan area to help
cool the transmission oil down. When the break was over we resumed the
road march for approximately (2) two more hours. During that time.
towards the end we were experiencing a loss of power according to the
driver. We decided to try and get back to the (AA Gator" so
the maintenance team chief could check the tank out, While we were eing
ground guided through the refueling area. I had popped my head out of
the hatch. I thought I smelled burning oil but was not sure. We got
back to the '%?~c~ ight outside the gate the tank would not turn. I
ripped out the wire o let the tank get inside the perimeter and
hopefully make ,~ a~ ,w~e turn to the maintenance area. About (100) one
