C. Thre (3) of the Contractor ZOD Team personnel were injured when
a 40=m round rolled, activated and exploded. The EOD contract
was renegotiated to allow the ZOD contractors to blow risky
equipment in place. The area of greatest concern is around
the AVLBs located by the Southern wall of the North compound.
D. Cegswa requires the site area for storage and stands ready
to position equipment there as soon as the Contractor
BOD team has completed detonating the un-exploded ordinance
and has declared the area safe.
3. Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Egyptian EOD Teams have been actively
detonating un-exploded ordinance along the routes to Monterey, Gibbs Range,
and around the three Doha Compounds. US Military EOD Teams have been
detonating un-expladed ordinance at the Monterey site. The contractor
EOD Team has been detonating un-exploded ordinance daily in and around
the North and South Doha Compounds since mid September. The daily
scenario foriis is to don kevlar helmets and flack jackets and seek
shelter fro-mf'the blasts whenever the sirens sound.
