METHODS
The present report represents a continuation of the study
begun by NEPMU2 in November of 1992. In November of 1993, another
trip was made to the detachment at Asheville, North Carolina. On
this occasion another questionnaire was administered to members and
f ormer members. Also, personal interviews were performed with
those who had been diagnosed with a medical problem since the end
of ODSS. Then, using release of information forms signed by the
interviewees, verification of diagnoses was obtained by medical
record review and/or interview ofmedical providers. The findings
of that trip are contained in this report. Also, a special one-
page, anonymous questionnaire was administered to veterans, non-
veterans, and a few spouses and one girlfriend. The results of
this questionnaire is contained in Appendix A.
Information obtained from the main questionnaires and medical
reviews were entered into the Epi Info statistical program.
Frequencies were derived and tabled.
