                                   MISSION STATEMENT CSC COMFORT


              The Combat Stress Center is a 72 bed limited car@ unit
        designated for restorative treatment of negative combat stress
        reactions. The purpose of the unit is the rapid return to duty of
        gervicemembers whose performance was impaired due to combat
               --T-r ea t me rit -o- @--of- I -=- -'4-days.-o-f--reassurance-i--rest.-r
        replenishment and training aimed at restoring self-confidence and
        identity as a competent servicemember.
              Collateral mission is:
              TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO OUR SHIPMATES VIA:
              (A) MODELING OF CONSTRUCTIVE STRESS MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES
              (B) EDUCATION CONCERNING STRESS, COPING, AND THE CARE OF
                   THE COMBAT CASUALTY
              (C)  LIAISON ACTIVITIES
              TO SUPPORT UNITS PROVIDING PSYCHIATRIC CARE TO THE NAVAL AND
        MARINE FORCES.

              FULL TIME: CHARGE NURSE, 2 STAFF NURSES, 5 STAFF CORPSMAN
