A second wave of medical personnel augmentation occur-red in December and
J.qnilary as more forces deployed to bring FMF units to levels established 'm
Marine Corps tables of organization. Table 8 summarizes the distribution of the
1,928 active-duty personnel who deployed during the second wave of augmentation.
CINCCENT tasked the Navy with providing an additional 1,000 echelon III beds in
theater and with bringing the hospital ships and CRTSs to full staffing in January.
As noted, SELRES personnel were deployed to meet most of the stalfmg require-
ments of FH-6 and FH-15 and to complete staffing of the hospital ships. - (See
