                    NERVE AGENT PYRIDOSTIGMINE @RE-TREATMENT TABLETS
                                           (NAPP)

@l. Pyridostigmine bromide tablets increase the
                 effectiveness of pralidoxime chloride following
to GD. This medication alone does not provide
              _.,,-_exposure
protection against nerve agents, nor does it'protect
you from any other CW agents such as cyanide or mustard
vapor. Each individual will be issued one "blister
pack" of 21, 30mg tablets. on order, you will begin
taking one tablet every 8 hours, around the clock. If
you miss a dose, do not double up, but take one to get
back on the every 8 hour routine until told to stop
                 taking the pills.

                 2. Taking 2 tablets at one time will not give you twice
the protection, but may make you sick with a NAPP over-
dose. A few persons may experience untoward effects or
allergic reactions to this drug even if taken properly.
Some possible signs/symptoms of over-dosage or allergic
                 reaction include:

                 a. Abdominal cramps, nauseat diarrhea
                 b. Occasional weakness
                 C. Rarely a skin rash
                 d. Rarely dim/blurred vision/pin-pointed pupils

                 3. if you experience symptoms of nerve agent
poisoning and use your antidote autoinjectors,
discontinue using the NAPP pills until directed
                 otherwise.

                 4. NAPP should be taken with sufficient water to
facilitate swallowing the tablet. It should not be
 be taken as
directed unless faced with a situation such as a toxic
aerosol environment, when a decision may be made by the
commander to delay taking the tablet for a few hours
until it can be done in a safer setting.
