   1.  PURPOSE:               To obtain CCJ5 and CCJA staff coordination of message at
   Tab A.

   2.  SUMMARY:

       a.    ()             In the event that animals are exposed to Anthrax spores
   during a biological attack, animal vaccine, veterinary personnel, and
   sufficient drugs are not available to provide treatment.

       b.    (U)             It is imperative that all potentially infected animals be
   humanely slaughtered as soon as possible in accordance with the previous
   CENTCOM policy message on treatment of injured or infected animals
   (Tab B).

       c.    (U)             The proposed message at Tab A                  vides timely     n   appropriate
   guidance from the theater veterinarian on me hods of                                 ima    isposal.
