niicUssZoM-I   ARCINT'S 150K galiday ROWPU's were unable to produce
the stated production rats of 225K galiday (salt water rate)   from
the Arabian Gulf.    Locally procured bottled water was used to
provide support to early deploying forces and offset the
shortfall.    Creating' additional requirenents for linited
transportation assets.    Sub'~sequent well sites and inland surface
water sources were put in operation however bottled water
continued as the prinary source of drinking water for ARCENT
forces.

LiSSOM:    ARCENT should obtain ~OWPUs that can adequately process
Arabian Gulf water.    Insure water production and distribution
equipient i~ prepositioned or brought in early enough to support
initial deployed forces.
