l. THE SALMAN PAK CHEMICAL WEAPONS FACILITY: 
 
 
A. ACCESS/SECURITY TO FACILITY: THE FACILITY IS LOCATED 
APPROXIMATELY 20 KILOMETERS FROM BAGHDAD OFF OF AL-QANAT   
ROAD ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE LEADING To BASRAH.  THERE IS 
HEAVY SECURITY OUTSIDE THE COMPOUND CONSISTING OF ARMORED 
PERSONNEL CARRIERS AND TANKS (NFI) POSITIONED NEAR THE MAIN 
ENTRANCE AND IN THE PARKING LOT. 
AN ELECTRIC FENCE SURROUNDS THE COMPOUND. 
 
 
D. CHEMICALS PRODUCED AT FACILITY: SULFURIC ACID, LEAD 
(SIC), 'BLACK ACID (NFI)', HYDROGEN ACID, MAGNESIUM, AND 
SODIUM HYDROCARBONATE WERE BEING PRODUCED AT THE FACILITY.
