2.            IRAQ HAS PREVIOUSLY USED MUSTARD AND NERVE (TABUN,
SARIN, AND GF) AGENTS AND HAS DEVELOPED A V-SERIES NERVE AGENT (VX)
WHICH IS PROBABLY AVAILABLE IN LIMITED QUANTITIES.  IN ADDITION,
IRAQ DELIVERED MUSTARD IN A PARTICULATE AEROSOL FORM (DUSTY MUSTARD)
DURING THE IRAN-IRAQ WAR.  IRAQ HAS THE TECHNICAL CAPABILITY TO
PRODUCE A DUSTY NERVE AGENT, BUT THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT IT HAS
DONE SO.

6.            DUSTY MUSTARD IS EVALUATED AS A NONPERSISTENT AGENT
UNDER THE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS PRESENT IN THE GULF.  DECONTAMINATION
OF BOTH PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH STANDARD
PROCEDURES.
