Please follow the procedures listed below when consuming the
self-piercing atropine needles, sodium chloride needles and their
capsules.

	1.	Self-piercing Atropine Needles:

	  a.	Atropine Capsules

The self-piercing atropine needle capsule issued for
operations purposes is dropped from service after use by
means of an original control form set up by the unit
after forming a committee including an officer from the
Chemical Branch among its members. The committee should
be approved by the formation commander and the commander
of the chemical branch/command or division.

	  b. Self-piercing Atropine Needles

A committee is set up of representatives of the Chemical
Branch Commands/corps/command/division when consuming up
the self-piercing atropine needles (without capsule) as
a result of frequent usage several times. After the
committee ascertains that the needles are not usable, a
control form is completed and approved by the commander
of the chemical branch in the corps.

	2.	Self-piercing Sodium Chloride Needle (for training)

	  a. Sodium Chloride Capsule

The sodium chloride capsule is dropped from service
after being used for training purposes by the units.
This is done by means of an original control form after
setting up a committee for this purpose, which should
include an officer from the Chemical Branch among its
members. The committee should be approved by the
commander of the chemical branch in the corps.

	  b.	Sodium Chloride Needle

The same as in item (1) above.
