	COPY OF LETTER

A number of units and formations dispatch their commissioners to 
the Chemical Base Depot directly to receive chemical devices and 
equipment issued to their commands and allocated for those units 
and formations.  The procedure in effect, however, calls for 
receiving the items by Chemical Branch Directorate in the command, 
division, headquarters, which will then deliver the items to the 
pertinent unit.

Please make sure that commissioners are not sent directly to the 
Chemical Depot.  We have no objection to your delegating the units 
under your command to receive the items after furnishing the 
commissioners with the required original documents by your 
commands.

Branch, number 6876/312/3, dated 2 July 1986, it is appropriate 
that the consumption period of the Protective Mask (KR) bar be 
extended from three to five years.  This is for your information 
and compliance.

protective masks (Egyptian), code (36/20000600/1) to get their 
correction papers ready and approved by you and forwarded to our 
directorates which will, in turn, forward them to the Chemical 
Correction Lab for expenditure.  These items will be replaced by 
new marks from your commands' stock.
