	(MEMO copy)

The chemical branch commands are still compensating for the destroyed chemical equipment and 
gear that were destroyed because of enemy bombardment without investigating the documents 
and evidence proving that, or the damage status to these equipment and gear and the possibility 
for repair. In order to explain the way to deal with losses, we provide the following:
1. Losses can take the shape of one of the following:
	a. equipment or gear that can be repaired, or replace parts of.
	b. equipment or gear that cannot be repaired, and needs to or replace most or all of its 
parts.
	c. equipment or gear that  don't exist (because they were burned down completely.
	d. equipment or gear that have been lost.
2. Losses in a,b, and c of article 1 above should be dealt with as follows:
	a. The unit would be asked to organize the paper work for the equipment and gear that 
were
		destroyed for repair or dispense with.
	b. the following papers should be prepared without any assessment:
	First, status of the losses of the division with reference to it in the work notes.
	Secondly, the second part of the orders to the unit.
3. The losses in categories c and d of article 1 above would be compensated for, and would be 
taken off the possession records of the unit provided that the following are submitted:
	a. status of the division losses.
	b.  the second part of the orders to the unit.
	c. Loss form No. 117.
	d. Investigative boards. 
	
Please take necessary action with regard to reporting, implementing the above and advise.
