1- Please advise formations operating within your sectors to advise their members to close the 
two holes on protective mask filter when operating in water areas, this is meant to maintain the 
filter, prevent damage and keep water from entering.
2- Filters exposed to water shall undergo quality inspection, damaged ones will be replaced in 
accordance with priorities of repair application.

Top secret letter of sixth corps command number 16793 on 12\11\1985 relayed to us through top 
secret letter of second division command number 6711 on 12\15\1985,
refer the following:
1- Repeating chemical awareness week at the corps' section.
2- Designating a day of each month to be named chemical awareness day at each division to 
exercise chemical activities, and advise us of the date.
3- Increasing orientation courses about mass destruction weapon protection methods at the 
formations and divisions. Preparing alternate individuals for chemical guides at regiment \battalion 
and alternate officer of chemical staff officer at the brigade.
4- Urging commanding officers to directly supervise chemical training, implement protection 
procedures at the unit, conduct ongoing inspections by headquarters in order to be aware of 
training and chemical awareness level of subordinate units and diagnose weak parts to remedy 
them.

Activities of  Chemical Awareness Day

1- Wearing protective masks during morning alarm.
2- The commanding officer of platoons \teams will conduct a three-hour training on the following 
topics:
a. First hour: protection mask.
b. Second hour: using purification and first aid set.
c. Third hour: using protective cream and atropine automatic injection.
3- Exercising partial purification to individuals and weapons at the partial purification point of 
the units.
4- Completing inspection of protective masks inside the gas tent if they were not inspected 
before.
5- Conducting a sudden chemical alarm.
6- Supervision by the commanding officers on the implementation of the above stated.
