Subj. Inspection
Upon visiting the Chemical Corps, the inspector of the Armed
Forces General Command confirmed the necessity to:
1. Dedicate some time to evacuate the contaminated victims from
the front formations and units to the decontamination center
and to begin decontamination as stated in the chemical
support recommendations.
2. Train on fields that pertain to the chemical company
according to the platoonsŐ obligations since the individual
that is in charge of the reconnaissance must be trained on
that as well as on decontamination and laboratory work.
3. Confirm the availability of water transportation when needed
to open a chemical decontamination center since water
resources are not available in the section.
4. Check all protective masks at the 23rd Infantry Brigade,
refrain temporarily from using the Kuwaiti masks that were
taken, and only depend on the protective masks that pertain
to the brigade and are received by our command.
The necessary inspection measure was taken by the 11th
DivisionŐs Chemical Company.
5. Find a substitute for the chemical advisor that deserted the
third corps of the 23rd brigade and provide him with good
training to increase his competence. The necessary was taken
by our command to request accompanying the 11th Division
Command in reference to our letter 1829 dated 9 / 3 / 1990 to
use a chemical advisor from the 11th DivisionŐs Chemical
Company of the above until the chemical advisor comes back or
is replaced by an individual for the directorate or the
corps.
6. Find local warning systems in the section during a chemical
attack.
7. [erased] 100 % of all chemical equipment as well as a full
and good room of operations for our command.
