mission capable supply" (NMCS) with 02 IPD. End item codes
are to be placed on these supply requests.
(b) Department of Defense Address Activity Code
(DODAAC) Changes.
1. DODAAC changes need to be initiated for
deploying and deployed units to ensure correct routing of
requested supplies. Installation Directors of Logistics
(DOLs) must submit DODAAC type address code (TAC) 1 and 2
change cards (DIC TA3) via Defense Data ~etwork (DDN) and
Systems Integration Management Activity (SIMA) for deploying
units. This should be done 14 days before actual
deployment. Follow on change cards should be submitted once
in-country location is stabilized.
2. Failure to initiate required DODAAC address
changes in a timely manner will result in delays in movement
of required materiel support.
(4) Unit Preparation for movement.
(a) Augmentation support. Prior to deployment,
equipment must be at the highest state of readiness
possible. Some of the first deploying units requested and
received augmentation support to assist in preparing
equipment that deployed or to continue work on equipment
that was not ready for initial deployment. Each unit should - -
evaluate its capability as soon after notification as
possible and coordinate augmentation support if required.
AMC's major subordinate commands are prepared to assist in
unit preparation efforts.

PLL and ASt to 100% prior to deployment. These stocks must
be sequenced in deployment schedules to support equipment
preparations upon arrival into the AOR. The pipeline and
s~pport base are not prepared or designed to support units
not deploying their PLL/ASL. AMC is fully prepared to
assist and work with units in filling PLL/ASL shortages
prior to deployment.
(c) Equipment Readiness. Equipment deployed to the
AOR should be at the highest state of readiness possible.
If outside assistance or augmentation is required to bring
equipment to an acceptable readiness level prior to
deployment, requests and coordination should be made as soon

of the unit.
(d) Units preparing for deployment experienced
