DISCUSSION:

Temperature fluctuation of 500 - 600 F is not uncommon in
addition to desert temperature extremes.

LESSON(S)  LEARNED:

Personnel can become climatized through a well planned desert
indoctrination program, strong leadership at all levels, and
physical conditioning programs.
