TOPIC:   Deception

DISCUSSION:

Deception plays a major role in countering the enemy's
reconnaissance effort and the lack of concealment in the desert
environment.

LESSON(S) LEARNED:

Deceptive measures should be used to mislead the enemy.   Since
you can't hide it, make it look like something else.  The use of
plywood, packing materials,  inflatable devices and other
equipment will help to disguise the true disposition of forces.
