Tactical deception and surprise are linked to the ability to move
and mass forces during periods of limited visibility.

LESSON(S) LEARNED:

Operational planning should emphasize night movement of units.
To minimize dust and enhance deception, multiple routes should be
used.   Training in the desert environment should emphasize night
movement technigues.
