DISCUSSION:

Grit accu~ulation in the oil pan can result in a breakdown of
lubrication effectiveness.

LESSON(S) LEARNED:

Oil changes and lubrication at more frequent intervals will
prolong engine and vehicle life under desert conditions.   High
grade lOW-50 oil has served well in desert conditions.
