DISCUSSION:

Operation of mechanized forces reguires a considerable number of
POL storage sites.   Not all sites may be equipped with the proper
gauges and charts to determine contamination and volume.

LESSON(S)  LEARNED:

Special equipment may be necessary to determine the precise
volume of fuel and degree of contamination.
