TOPIC:   Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair/Self-Recovery

DISCUSSION:

Due to the nature of desert warfare,  it is important to maintain
a capability to perform self-recovery.

LESSON (S) LEARNED:

All wheeled vehicles should be equipped with a self-recovery
device for recovery from sand.  All drivers should be familiar
with field expedient recovery methods for their vehicle.
Priority should be to fix, evacuate, strip, and destroy.
