                                 Command Religious Program

                Leader training was conducted to provide religious support for
            small groups in combat. As the air war began, religious
            counciling increased and resulted in 6 Baptisms in Headquarters
            Company (HQ Co) prior to the beginning of the ground war. Services
            were conducted for each TFR unit for Protestants and Catholics.
            The Chaplain moved into Kuwait through the breach and on to Kuwait
            City with the Logistics Train in tandem with the Regimental Aid
            Station (RAS) and prepared for casualty assistance. A service of
            thanksgiving was provided for HQ Co personnel after its cessation
            of fighting.

                                       Intelligence

                The S-2 Section participated in four TEWT,s during this
            period. Additional training was conducted in aerial imagery
            requests, after which 27 aerial imagery requests were submitted to
            lst Mar Div to support TFR. Training was also conducted in the
            use of and tasking of Remotely Piloted Vehicles (RPV). The S-2
            shop requested and used the RPV four times during this period.
            Numerous Sand Table exercises were conducted, several of which
            were to support Division requirements for the eventual attacks on
            the Iraqi obstacle belts and the Al Jaber Airfield in Kuwait. One
            regimental sniper was sent Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) to lst
            Mar Div G-3 to conduct cross border sniper operations prior to
            G-Day. Two Regimental snipers were sent to school on the Barrett
            .50 caliber sniper rifle and 2 sniper rifles were issued to the
            Regimental S-2 shop for use in Operation Desert Storm.

                                     Logistics/Supply

            quarters for TFR. The unit was composed of two mechanized
            infantry battalions, a reinforced tank battalion, and a combat
            engineer battalion. As such, the S-4 was responsible for
            maintenance of over 75 M6OAl tanks, 124 Landing Vehicle Tracked
            for Personnel (LVTP-7), as well as a large number of support
            vehicles. Preparation for offensive operations included procuring
            and installing minefield breaching and marking equipment. Combat
            Service Support Detachement 17 (CSSD-17) was in direct support of
