                                    Logistics / Supply

            Support ranging the whole logistical spectrum has been provided by
        'Red Patchers' during the reporting period. Motor Transport, commiunica-
        tions, medical, supply, food services and special services were major
        contributors in aiding this battalion in accomplishing its missions.
            Battalion Supply received the remainder of its gear from CONUS.
        A schedule for the issuance of class IX has been initiated. All garrison
        property has been loaded to the S-4 account. Consolidated Memorandum
        Receipts (CMR) have been signed by responsible officers. Supply has also
        processed over 1500 receipts of gear and 800 four cards.
            Licensed fourteen Marines for use as 'Greenball Express' drivers.
        These Marines participated on seven missions to augment 6th Motor Trans-
        port Battalion in transporting supplies to forward deployed forces.
            Licensed eleven Marines on commercial forklifts, twenty-eight Marines
        on tactical forklifts, and two Marines on 7 1/2 ton crane in support of
        I MEF forces. Additionally, twenty-nine Marines received HMMWV licenses.
            Local Area Network (LAN) System was placed into service on 11
        February 1991, thereby enabling fast, easy communication between this
        command and higher headquarters.
            Special Services organized and executed two sports days on 2 and 24
        February. Received and distributed refrigerators, chains and tables to
        the new Officer and SNCO clubs, as well as the compound recreation room.
        Hosted GSO-1 Coninanding Officer's meeting. Held personnel exchange
        program with a local British maintenance unit, LSB exchanged one officer
        and eight enlisted Marines for two days.
            Supplied working parties to GSO-1 for mail sorting and cleaning up of
        Jubail Airfield. Supplied working party to clean CG building throughout
nth.
            Services such as laundry, water, sanitation, fuel, and garbage
        continue uninterrupted and responsive to the battalion needs.
