                                 Few complained about liv  -ing conditions, lack of
                                 showers, lack of toilets- grunts can live with that
                                 Few wanted to leave S'WA
                                 No conscientous objectors
                                 No self-inflicted wounds
                                 only one fight reported
                                 No stress casualties



                               Troop Issues
                                 Poor mail service
                                 Phone service- dial 1800-100 too long to get a line
                                    and only 7 phone at Camp 15 for 15,000 troops
                                    This was fixed after the war
                                 Food- No one complained about MRE's when that was
                                    all we had to eat- but the field rations drew
                                    a lot of criticism- cold rice with gravy- etc.
