                              Stepping down each move until we were on the front
                              with an Alice pack, MRES, living in holes, in artill
                              range- no lights at night,
                              Hygene- no showers
                              Diet- constipation from no fiber
                              Emotions- up and down
                                 long noisy nights alone
                                 I wrote a lot of letters by red lense in my hole
                                 Stayed busy
                                    Saw chaplains 2 - 3 times a week-- driving
                              Relationships - few close friends
                              Support from home was great

                              We were attacked by American &          jets
                              500 lb bomb on 2/10
                              8 cluster bombs on 1/6 c/o US Air Force
                              3/6 had 2 come in on them - source unknown
                               Different than our bombing over the border- loud and
                         frightening:
