   Situation.


   A. Enemy Forces. See Annex 3 (Intelligence)

   B. Friendly Forces. 2dMarDiv conducts a deliberate breach of the
     y defensive belts. 6th Marines conducts the breach, and is
     owed by the Tiger Brigade, and 8th Marines.

   C. Attachments and Detachments. See Annex A.


   D. Assumptions. That by the time 8th Marines pass through the
     ch, enemy activity will be minimal and the passage will be made
      a reduced threat of enemy contact.

   Mission. On order, Sth Marines will move into assembly areas and
      on order pass through the breach created by 6th Marines.

     Execution.


   A. Concept of Operation. 8th Marines will move to the assembly
     s corresponding to their colored lanes. On order they will pass
     ugh the breach with two battalions and the regimental command
     p on line. All other regimental elements will follow in trace.
      on the far side of the breach the regiment will form into its
     -t formation for an approach march.

   B. Tasks.


        (1) 3d Bn (Rein), 23d Marines.

            (a)  On order move to Green Bravo assembly area.

            (b)  On order pass through the breach over lanes Green 5


        (2) 2d  Bn (Rein), 4th Marines.

            (a)  On order move to Red Bravo assembly area.

            (b)  On order pass through the breach over lanes Red I and
