determined the absence of "Potential 4-,ce@" and
lead battalion information to base their plan o' attack on.
The ground war portion was brief and utilized two
reconnaissance units aside from the attached platoon. The
rnmh@ned effort allowed for route and area reconnaissance
up to the attack position and breach site, point reconnaissance
of the previously identified gaps in the minefield, and a
reconnaissance screening effort along the flank.
The operational tempo dictated the intelligence re@!jir@mc-nt-
for the regiment. Information concerning the enemy proved to be
at best 48 to 72 hours old. The disparity between actual evt-i@t@
and the information provided caused an increased burden in
assessing real time enemy disposition. Accurate information
concerning the enemy situation north of the TAOR became
increasingly unclear.
