                       2106 Informed of possible tank attack along border.

       26 JAN          0108 Co Al 2d LAI Bn observes airburst to north of
                       screenline.

       27 %T  AN       0800 2d LAI Bn screen in place for 'ITF Raid"
                       artillery raid. Trace: QS8147 to QS8352 to TM1252
                       to TMI448.

                       1500 Q and R Batteries, 5/10 with one platoon of
                       A-92/Tiger BDE MLRS arrive assembly area QSS72313.

                       2115 Artillery units move from assembly area to
                       firing positions QSS649 to TM1049.

                       2328 CO 5/10 reports two batteries and three MLRS
                       platoons ready to fire.

                       2358 Sth Bn, 10th marines commences firing.
                       Targets are Q/5/10 - vehicle park TMOS6611, R/S/10
                       - logistics base TMlS2622.

                       2359 ist rounds impact in xuwait.

       28 JAN          0009 Rounds complete. Q and R Batteries begin
                       return to assembly area. AN/TPQ-36 cued, MLRS
                       awaiting targeting info.

                       0020 Co C and Co DI 2d LAI Bn observe red flares to
                       north.

                       ODSI No incoming, therefore, no radar fixes.
                       AN/TPQ-36 and MLRS begin return to assembly area.

                       0245 All artillery units secure in assembly areas.
                       Forward screen line remains in place.

       29 JAN          AT(TOW) Co,, 4th Tank Bn detached from 2d Tank Bn to
                       HQ, 2d MarDiv.

                       1313 Co Al 2d LAI Bn observes possible enemy
                       OP at QSSI1603.

                       1415 Engineer plate with infantry plat for security
             under control of LtCol Muth, begins establishing
                       future new 2d MarDiV FWd CP site at QSS65551.

                       1420 A 15 mile long column of tanks is
                       reported moving south from 29 48' N 47 39'E no
                       further info.
