                        TX2263 to TX3666; 50 tanks/APCs destroyed. B52
                        strike planned in same area in two hours.

        I FEB           0115 6th Marines report "friendly" bomb drop on  1/6
                        position. No injuries or damage from CBU.

                        1530-191S Co Do 2d LAI Bn and Recon OP-5 observe
                        armored vehicles vie QS677525 with artillery
                        impacts in vicinity. Finally determined to be Co
                        B, lst LAI. "Artillery impacts" are caused by Ist
                        MarDiV FASCAX field of 29 Jan self-destructing
                        early.

        2 FEB           Co B, 4th Tank Bn detached from 6th Mar to CO
                        2d Tank Dn.

                        1200 Co Do 2d LAI Bn chopped back from 1/6.

                        1620 Co Co 2d LAI Bn position marked by OV-10 with
                        WP rocket. DASC informs AO it Was Rider-73 working
                        unknown tgts north of berm and mark was short.

                        2310 G-2 reports 100+ vehicles southbound TM184968
                        and 200+ vehicles moving north and south between
                        TX400825 and TX453649.

        3-8 FEB         6th Marines continue screen to north in sector.
                        Numerous reports daily of pyro/tracers and
                        personnel/vehicular movement.

        4 FEB           16S3 Tiger Bde conducts movement exercise from
                        QS7806 to QSS214.

        5 FEB           0700 Co Do 2d Tank Bn relieves Tiger Bde of
                        security mission north of Kibrit.

                        1320 The first six of 2d XarDivls EPWs surrender to
                        Co Al 2d LAI Bn vie QSS14SSS.

        6 FEB           2d Tank Bn attached to sth Mar as regimental
             reserve.

                        1525 Received MEF report of Iraqi aircraft heading
                        south. Iraqi aircraft destroyed by F-15.

                        2325 G-2 reports strong H2S odor from Al Wahfrah
                        oilfield throughout the division sector.

        7 FEB           2d Plat, AT(TOW) Co, 2d Tank Bn relieves Co Do
                        2d Tank Bn of security mission north of Kibrit.

                        CO Do 2d Tank Bn reattached to Co. 2d Tank Bn.

                        0012 Testing by Division NBC reveals no significant
