           Subi; COMMANDERS INTENT

           1. My intentions to support the Division's offensive missions are:

                 a. To have each Marine understand the Commander's intent two levels
                     up,

                 b. To always keep the Division's scheme/focus of effort in the forefront
                     as decisions are made.

                 C. To be "dug in" in our firing positions throughout the breach phase.

                 d. 'lo use prepos4tioned and LVS loaded ammunition from CSSD/Sth Motors
before we use our organic truck loaded ammunition.

                 e. To husband our ammunition by reliance upon our FDO's judgement and
reference to JMc-M's as targets are engaged.

                 f. To plan for rapidly changing tactical missions for our supported Task
                     Forces as the battlefield unfolds.

ments.

                 h. To wear the U.S. OG-84, chemical protective overgarment initially as
w@@ assume MOPP level 2; anticipate "fighting dirty" through the 2nd
                     obstacle belt.

                 i. To know that our principle air threat will be enemy assault
helicopters; ensure battery air defenses are in place and ready.

                                              (work s)
