                                 PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATION


                 The S-1 maintained daily operations by screening all Service
             Record Books (SRB's) and Officer Qualification Records (OQR's)
             ensuring appropriate deployment action was recorded, explained
             Split-Pay options, verified Imminent Danger Pay entries ar@d
             per-formed all updates.

                                               MEDICAL


                 Medical service was provided by the dispensary established at
             NAF Jubail.   The squadron Suffered an epidemic of diarrhea from the
             consumption of local      produce served    in the chow hall,       which
             affected approximately 20% of the squadron. The medical department
             continuously monitored the field sanitation units and sewage
             disposal making recommendations toward better hygiene.

                  The S-2 monitored shortwave radio broadcasts to offset the
             information vacuum, arid provide Iraqi situation summaries.           Real
             time news combined with current intelligence i@ifot-rriation dispelled
             rumors arid niaintaii-ied confidence.


                                                S-3


                  The S-3 continued to offer-    NBC defense classes and briefs in
             conjunction with the MAG-16 NBC Defense Officer.         An MCI program
             was established requiring parent commands to forward course
             materials.    MALS--16 S-@3 developed a 15 yard Rifle and Pistol
or zeroing weapons,,which was later turned over
             to MAG--16 (S-3) for scheduling of all MAG-16 personnel.

                  The   S-4   acquired    tents  and   cots   for   enhanced    living
             arrangements; provided basic necessities such as bottled water and
             MRE.S; distributed desert camouflage utilities; and coordinated the
             movement of all mobile facilities from the King Abdul Azlz Naval
             Port to the Jubail NAF.
