                The advanced parqy for Bth Comm Battalion a*ived. LCDR Archer
           and 1IM3 Sins chocked aboard on the 2nd of January. On the 7th of
           January the 2nd SRIG corpsman chocked into the command, HMCS O'Brien,
           HM1 Hopkins and IIN Asselin. On the 17th of January Operation Desert
           Storn coranenced. HMC Lewis, IIMC McKenzie, HM2 R. Luna and CDR a. W.
           Steger checked into the lst SRIG BAS on the 14th of January. on the
           23rd of January HM2 R. Luna was deployed to the field. On the 21st of
           January HMI Hopkins was also deployed to the field.

                On the 31st of January 1991, CDR J. W. Steger assumed the
           position of SRI Group Surgeon. After CDR Kincaid was re-assigned back
           to his parent command of ist Radio Bn.

                Training during this period of reporting was concentrated on
           education of the troops with classes to different units in the SRIG;
           Classes included basic first aid, and emergency first aid, radio
           operation, and combat stress courses were also given.


                                         CIVIC ACTION


              There were no civic action programs that lst SRI Group took part
           in, except those noted by subordinate units.
