                             4th Platoon, AT-TOW CO

         24 Fab 91

4th platoon Anti Tank Company crossed over the Kuwait border
providing security in an attached role to Ist Battalion, lst
Marines. The battalion was traveling in a column. After crossing
the first obstacle belt, Ist section supporting Alpha and Bravo
Companies helped to secure the initial trenchline and major
roadways. 3rd section proceeded to the workers camp North of
Al-Wafra oil center to provide northeast security, tieing in with
Ist Tank Battalion. 2nd section supported Delta Company in reserve
. After receiving no enemy fire of any kind the battalion
proceeded to the 2nd obstacle belt. While waiting to proceed
through the second set of obstacles, there were reports of enemy
resistance in the area. The Bn. crossed through Ist Tanks and
proceeded north. After moving to approximate grid 852881, we were
engaged by enemy indirect fire and also observed a trenchline to
the north. Ist section engaged three APC's near a trealine and
successfully destroyed 2, 3rd section was then called to move up
on line with Ist section to help engage enemy armor. Upon their
arrival, due to the number of armor in the area, 2nd section was
ordered to support 3rd section. 3rd section unsuccessfully tried
to engage a dug-in tank in the trenchline that was engaging
friendly units with 7.62 machine guns. 2nd section then engaged a
T-62 on the battalion left flank and destroyed it. The platoon
prepared for a hasty defense and sat in for the night.

         25 Feb 91

On 25 Feb 91, we successfully refueled and rearmed, and now
had a total of 169 missiles in the platoon. We were ordered to
attack and clear gathering center #4 in three axes of advance.
any departed at approximately 0830 for their approach to
the center. 3km Southwest of gathering center, lst section
identified 1 BMP, 3 BTRS, and a T-62 tank. They destroyed the
BMP, and BTRS, and the tank surrendered. lst section also
received numerous EPW's and turned them over to Bravo Company.
3rd section and Alpha company departed around 0900 to the right
flank of bravo. At around 0930 they were engaged by numerous
armored vehicles and tanks. From south to north of gathering
center 4 they were credited with the following: 5 BTR'S, 5BMP's,
         1 BRDM, I T-55 and 2 T-62's. 2nd section once again supported
Delta Company's move northeast to the right of Alpha Company, and
tied in on the left flank of lst Tank Battalion. Second section
destroyed 6 tanks and an APC in a brisk firefight, and D Company
then advanced. Later, they destroyed 1 BMP and a BTR that
appeared and fired while Delta Company was collecting EPws. Each
