        to friendly lines after friendly airstrike fell close to their position.

      WHEELS/RECON
      - Recon to conduct raid on Markaz vic (OS 772617) in order to conduct
        recon and surveillance from Markaz on Iraqi obstacles and defenses.
      - 0130, raid force moves from vic OP-3 towards Markaz. Reports at
        0545 2 vehicles patrolling at (OS 777598).
        0630, raid force aborts mission due to possible enemy vehicles around
        objectives. Raid force returns to OP-3 without incident.

      TASK FORCE PAPA BEAR
        Ist plt, B Btry, 3d LAAD Bn provided 360 degree  air defense.
        1300, Final TF sandtable exercise conducted.

      TASK FORCE TROY
      - Recon reports small arms fire vicinity TM 189573. COC displaces to
        OS 926495. Artillery fire mission conducted on Radio Tower at
        OS 922605 resulting in 4 secondary explosions. D Co, 4th Recon
        detaches. Mobile PX visit. Engaged 4 vehicles with Arty vic TM 102593,
        1 vehicle destroyed, 3 immobilized. A Co (-) LAI and lst p1t D Co, Ist
        Recon Bn attaches. Conducted PSYOPS.


      TASK FORCE SHEPHERD
      - 2300, Co C attached to TF Taro, crosses Saudi/Kuwait berm and
        established a screen line oriented east from OS 799680 to OS 799630,
        vic Al-Wafra oilfields.


      KING
      - 0004, 3/12 and 5/11 massfires on enemy defensive positions in support of
        TF Grizzly.
      - 1/11 displaced to provide General Support for screening and clearing by
        TF Taro and TF Grizzly.
      - e848, 1/12 engaged 2 tanks and 3 BMP's vic OS 654584, 1 BMP destroyed
        and the remainder of the force turned northwest.
      - 09eO, Ilth Marine Jump CP displaced north near Kuwait border at grid OS
        581627, assumes control of regiment at 1226.
      - 1000, 1/11 displaced and occupied firing positions near grid OS 7457
        mission GS, priority calls for fire TF Shepherd and TF Taro.
      - 104,0, 'B" 1/10 engaged 120MM mortar position in support of TF Grizzly
        with 2 mortars and 1 truck reported destroyed and 8 Iraqi KIA confirmed.
      - 5/11 and 3/12 fired series "Redft and 'White" in support of TF Grizzly.
        RAP munitions were suspended for emergency use only.
        1540, 'E' 2/12 occupied firing position at grid TM 102506 and fired 4
        mission in support of TF Troy. Enemy OP's, bunkers and vehicles were
        attacked with vehicles and buildings reported destroyed and numerous
        secondary explosions reported. From 1640 to 1801, 85 rounds of HE, 6
        rounds of WP, and 12 rounds of DPICM were expended on the four missi ns.
        The Battery displaced at 1810 and returned to its assembly area
        position.
        2300, 5/11 and 3/12 fired series White in support of TF Grizzly.
