Legal Action
The Commanding officer is the Special Court Martial Convening
Authority for this Company. As such, the following legal proceedings
were held at this level.
a. Special Court Martial: 0

c. Non-Judicial Punishment: 0
d. JAG Manual investigation: 0
A 9mm Service Pistol was lost at the I MEF (Main) position. The
scene was investigated by the Commanding Officer and a determination
was made that an investigation was not warranted.
Medical
The Company Aid Station, operating on a 24 hour basis continued
with formal inspections of Camp Gray (Hall 5) facilities for
sanitation. Three additional 8404 Corpsman were joined, with one
being assigned to I MEF (Main). Over 600 Marines, Sailors, Army and
Air Force personnel were immunized during the month. The NBC
Casualty Management system was coordinated with SRIG elements. over
400 personnel were joined. They were issued NBC protective
medication, and had their medical records screened. Staff training
on medical support topics was conducted on a routine basis.
Logistics
The Alpha and Bravo Command Groups of the MEF displaced to
Safaniya, Saudi Arabia on the 5th and 6th of January, respectively.
This movement required the mount out of 12 Tractor Trailers full of
pelletized gear, tactical vehicles, Government of Japan (GOJ)
vehicles and bus transportation for over 800 personnel.
The Quartering Party initially continued preparation of the site
at Safaniya. The CB's out reventments, large enough to put 2 GP tents
end to end inside. Thirty tents were erected for billeting.
Engineers wired all tents and work spaces. Carpenters constructed
over 150 map boards, 60 tables, chairs and desks for use by the
Command Element. 5K fuel bladders were delivered to the site to
provide Mogas and Jet Al. Water bladders were established to support
30,000 gallons of water for every need from cooking to hygiene use.
Showers and laundry units were set up and preconstructed head
facilities were sent forward from the Al Jubail area. These
facilities originally supported 800 personnel but were still fully
capable of supporting over 1200 personnel as the Command Element grew
through the month. Electrical support directly into the camps was
limited so extra generators were brought in and provided primary and
alternate power. The chow hall known as the "Dead Goat Cat-Fell went
