         Topic:

            M-12 POWER DRIVEN DGCON APPARATUS

         Discussion:

This decontamination unit is a dinosaur in the NBC field. The M-12
is too large, lacks mobility, and requires constant maintenance.
The units received from the MPS were not operative.

         Recommendation:

The M-12 is out dated for the fast pace of today's battle field.
This unit should be phased out 04 the system.

         Topic-.

           T/O ADDITIONS

         Discussion:

The recent T/O changes within the NBC MOS are not providing
adequate personnel to perform the mission essential task.
The reductions at the squadron, group, and wing levels are
requiring multi-tasking within the MOS. It does not allow any
flexibility for additional requirements within a given command.

         Recommendation:

T/O billet +or NBC Specialist within all squadrons must be filled
with school trained NBC Specialist. Also every unit departing CONUS
to a TAO with a known NBC threat should be required to have an NBC
           Specialist on deck.

         Topic:

           SUPPLY SYSTEM

         Discussion:

The redistribution of critical assets during operations without
notice, and the delayed re-supply due to back orders should be
addressed at the highest level. A long list of document numbers
for gear an order, and Marines -Facing a deadly chemical threat
is an unsatisfactory climate to engage an opposing force.
