         Wednesday --. The Army orders 4,846 reservists from 24 states and Puerto Rico to
      active duty effective Thursday October 11, 1990. The Marines order 160 personnel from
      a variety of units to fi~rm a Combat Service Support Detachment. (The Philadelphia

         President Bush 5 approval rating has dropped to 55 percent. Approval ratings on how
      President Bush is handling his job as President were 68 percent in September and 76
      percent in August. The surveys were conducted by the Times Mirror Center for People
      & Press, a news industry group under direction of the Princeton Survey Rese<~ch Asso-
