what can be achieved when the combined force of America's joint
military services is employed under a single unified command.
?peration DESERT SHIELD was an Army-Navy-Marine Corps-
Air Force-Coast Guard effort -- an air-land-sea campaign -- and,
as has been demonstrated so often in the past, no single service
could have achieved such a victory or can claim to have done it
alone.
Now, I'll put on my Navy blue suit and tell you how the
Navy-Marine Corps team an~d their reserves contributed to the
Desert Storm victory. Someone suggested we should call this
brief, "Storm at Sea."
