24 Aug 2,380 Navy medical SEIRES personnel recalled to backfill CONUS
hospitals for active staffs that had deployed

an offensive capability
13 Nov SECDEF increased reserve call-up authority to 126,250, includ-
ing 10,000 for the Navy and 15,000 for the Marine Corps
up authority to 189,250,
including 30,000 for the Navy and 23,000 for the Marine Corps
3 Dec Navy announced a stop-loss for naval personnel assigned to
Marine Corps forces involved with Desert Shield with retirement
