     SUBJECT: (U) Capability to Identify Use of Biological Warfare
     Agent

     RESPONSIBLE TASKEEI (U) SGPS-PSZ

     NARRATIVE:         The Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center has
     issued a report on biological warfare agents that Iraq has likely
     produced and probably weaponized. They are as follows:

          a.      Anthrax


          b.      Cholera

          C.      Staphylococcus enterotoxin B

     Clostridium perfringens is in advance development. Iraq used BW
     agents against Iran. Solomon Pak is the major BW production
     facility. Increased activity has been noted from intelligence.

     TASK:

          a. (U) A capability to collect and transport samples within
     the combat zone and to CONUS laboratories

          b. (U) A capability to detect these agents in the combat zone

          C. (U) Distinguish endemic origin from hostile action

          d. (U) Patient management protocol
